Laundry Room update

Well, I did it, or did I? I must say I kinda likee:) I washed and washed and folded and folded I painted and even managed to sew a few things here and there. Look for yourself and tell me whatcha think?
You can check out the before here

Ok, so I after I washed and folded and everything else I had to hide that space above the washer and dryer that I use store I mean hide I mean store things:) I went to the fabric store and got fabric for 60% off then I made a new BFF the TENSION ROD, do you know him? I love him! I bought two of them:) I made this cute little clutter hider curtain in a few minutes and added a plant and some family phrased art then.....

After I left the fabric store I went to Home Depot and picked up these baskets they were cute and matched the fabric....SCORE...

After HM I went to Wallie world and found this book shelf on clearance for $20.00 I could'nt leave him
and he hides all of the cleaning products, paper towels and even a secret stash of fabric shhhhh. I made another curtain and used the extra tension rod to hang it. I am now doing the happy dance:)

My mom gave me this old frame and I love it I did'nt have to distress it or anything, when I saw it I thought lost sock station!!! and that's what it is!! I have a pins in there and it works great!

This is just a little corner for yet another plant and a cute little distressed white table.
Lastly I had this shelf that I glazed to match the lost sock station, I collect teacups and saucers and this is my miniature set:) so there you have it all, my dirty little secret and my clean sweep makeover. I really wanna add white beadboard and the word LAUNDRY in a rustic print or plaque of some sort oh yea and a lamp. what do you think?

YOU DON'T MAKE ME WHAT TO DO!!!

At least that's what my student told me the other day, and that's exactly what I told the laundry room!

Who's house is this???? I mean just look at this mess, I certainly wasn't raised this way ( sorry mommy).
I should be embarrassed ;but, this is actually therapy for me. I figure if I put it put there all wrong (aka just like it is) then I gotta make it right. right?

I just can't get it together, not to mention I totally lack room aka motiviation. I like this color and I'm thinking a nice toile would go really nice but where? Any suggestions? Anyone??? It gets worse, keep looking.
By the way that's a flower arrarngement I made years ago for our wedding, it used to be really nice ( I can't make myself part with it).

This is just a pile of neglect, cut me some slack I teach and run an online business. Are you buying any of this? I didnt think so:(

Ok, so this is my cry for help!!! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I keep telling myself that I'm Dorothy and if I click my heels long enough it will look like this:

This is Rhoda's place, so chic; but, so is she check her out over here. Check back soon because I just can't leave it this way, well not now that you've all seen it:) Forgive me for not offering y'all any tea but lets be realistic where would you sit with anyway? HA!

Bedford House Love: Project # 1

Bedford House Love: Project # 1

Project # 1

As I told you I just LUUUUUUUURVE the thrift store, I'm in there so much that they literally know me by projects. I promise the store mgr. that if he gives me a good deal then I'll bring before and after pics. I went in the other day and our eyes locked, our souls knew they were compatible. Will I marry you? Ofcourse I will..........Then I brought you home.....

Right into the garage with the other love affairs:) Please don't feel like you're just another affair, I'm gonna handle you with TLC starting now. I have never reupholestered a chair before but Kate over at .centsational girl gave me the courage, please check her out!! I took pics as I ripped him apart (poetic isn't it?)

After I stripped him down I decided to sand him using a fine grit pad, then I painted him white (spray paint ofcourse) I used rustoleum.

I know what you're thinking, WHITE! Yes white, it's for my daughter's room ( a work in progress) and I kinda need for it to blend with the existing pieces. The next step involved me going through my photos so I could put humpty dumpty back together again:o)

I started with the back of the chair first, I  kept  all the pieces since I was only recovering it. I used a staple gun and stapled the top bottom and sides of fabric in that order, don't forget to give it a tug for a taut finish.

That little hand up there is the mini me aka Vanna White. I guess I didn't photo the next steps. Anyhoo I stapled the back piece to the chair after I covered it, I then covered the seat and screwed it to the the bottom...........................Here he is all finished, The perfect gentleman for my daughter's room:)

So......Whatcha think????
